New Residential Township for Returning Refugees Inaugurated in Zabul

The Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, His Excellency Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, the Acting Minister of Urban Development and Housing, Mawlavi Hamdullah Nomani, the Governor of Zabul, Mullah Sher Mohammad Sharif, and other provincial officials inuagurated a new residential township for the returnees in Zabul province.

This township, which is planned over 4,321 jeribs of land, has been designed in accordance with the master plan of the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing, and all necessary facilities for residents have been considered in its planning.

During the inauguration, the Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs began the allocation of plots within this township to eligible refugee families. The plots will be distributed to those refugees of Zabul province who are identified as eligible by the High Commission for Addressing Refugee Affairs.

At the inauguration ceremony, His Excellency, Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi assured that the Islamic Emirate will continue its efforts to support refugees in various areas, particularly in providing housing in relevant regions.

It is worth noting that during this visit, the progress and follow-up of the first phase of the Sheikh Mati Baba Township project for refugees in Zabul was also reviewed.
