Kabul and Tehran Expand Cooperation in the Production of Medicines and Medical Equipment

The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Al-Haj Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, met today in his office with the Deputy Minister of Health of Iran and Head of the Food and Drug Administration, Mehdi Pir Salehi, along with Iran’s Ambassador to Afghanistan, Ali Reza Beikdeli.

During the meeting, the Deputy Minister of Health of Iran stated that Iran is ready to expand its long-term cooperation with Afghanistan in the production of medicines and medical equipment, as well as in increasing their export to Afghanistan.

The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs expressed his appreciation to the Iranian side and assured them that the relevant institutions of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan will provide full cooperation and joint efforts in these areas.
