Deputy Prime Minister Inaugurates Flyover Construction in Front of Kabul Provincial Office

H.E. Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, today inaugurates the construction of a flyover in front of the Kabul Provincial Office to facilitate vehicle movement.

The Deputy Prime Minister noted that, considering population growth, increasing economic activity, and the current situation in Kabul, urban development, transport infrastructure, and urban order are among the city’s fundamental needs. He emphasized that Kabul must develop in a modern way based on an organized urban plan.

He added that, fortunately, the Kabul Municipality, recognizing this need, has undertaken unprecedented and notable work in transport and urban management, which deserves appreciation.

The Deputy Prime Minister also called on Kabul residents to take responsibility for the city’s cleanliness and order and to fully cooperate in infrastructure projects.

At the conclusion, he urged the project engineers to ensure the flyover is completed according to all standards, with quality and accuracy. The flyover, measuring 235 meters long, 18 meters wide, and 6.8 meters high, is being built at a cost of 462 million Afghanis and is expected to be completed within 15 months.
