Ariana Afghan Airlines to Transport Export Goods via Air Cargo at One Dollar per Kilogram

Under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Al-Haj Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, a follow-up meeting was held yesterday at the Marble Palace with officials from relevant ministries and agencies regarding the export of Afghan commercial goods, particularly dried and fresh fruits, through air cargo to the international market.

At the beginning of the meeting, representatives of the concerned ministries and agencies presented reports on the tasks assigned during the first session.

Subsequently, Ariana Afghan Airlines was instructed to transport export goods via air cargo at a rate of one U.S. dollar per kilogram and import goods at eighty cents per kilogram.

Furthermore, the Ministries of Finance and Transport and Civil Aviation were directed to grant a 90 percent discount on their respective fees for Ariana Afghan Airlines.

Ariana Afghan Airlines was also instructed to procure a cargo aircraft as soon as possible.
