Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Meets with Officials of Afghan Invest Private Company

H.E. Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, met today in his office with officials of Afghan Invest Private Company.

During the meeting, the company’s representatives stated that work on the 500-kilovolt electricity transmission line connecting Shiberghan and Dasht Alwan, together with the expansion of the Dasht Alwan substation, has reached its final stages and is expected to be commissioned within the next four months.

The company’s representatives also reported progress in the exploration of the second block of the lead and zinc mine in Tolak District of Ghor Province. They reaffirmed their commitment to completing the remaining work within the designated timeframe with the support of Afghan and foreign specialists.

The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs commended the company’s efforts and emphasized that, alongside the exploration of the mine, work should also begin on the construction of a processing plant to ensure the full processing of extracted minerals, as well as on securing the electricity required for its operation.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs assured the company’s officials of the Islamic Emirate’s full cooperation and support.
