The Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister’s Office of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Dr. Mullah Abdul Wasi, met this afternoon at the Arg with the Chinese investor, Mr. Wang Ban Ziang, and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, which was also attended by the Director of Political and Public Affairs, Sheikh Mahmood Zakiri, Mr. Wang Ban Ziang expressed his pleasure at visiting Afghanistan and stated that the Islamic Emirate has achieved notable progress across various sectors. Referring to the existing investment opportunities in different sectors, as well as Afghanistan’s abundant mineral resources, he stated that they are interested in investing in Afghanistan.
He stated that they possess extensive experience and advanced technology in the construction of high-rise buildings, highways, tunnels, mining extraction, oil refining, dams, and electricity projects, and that, in the event of investment, they intend to transfer such expertise and technology to Afghanistan. He added that they will undertake major investments in the construction of highways aimed at increasing Afghanistan’s exports and enhancing trade facilitation with Asian countries.
The Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister’s Office, Dr. Mullah Abdul Wasi, welcomed the delegation and stated that Afghanistan possesses abundant mineral resources. He said that, in addition to the mining sector, investment opportunities have also been provided to both domestic and foreign investors in the reconstruction of the Salang Tunnel, the Wakhan Corridor, and various other sectors.
Dr. Mullah Abdul Wasi stated that the Islamic Emirate has provided all necessary facilities for domestic and foreign investors and assured them of further cooperation. He advised them that, alongside their personal interests, they should also give due consideration to Afghanistan’s interests and principles. He further emphasized that, in every sector in which they invest and operate, activities should be carried out in a professional and standardized manner so as to strengthen confidence in their professional credibility and contribute to the enhanced reputation of the respective countries of the foreign investors.
