Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Meets with the Director General of Uzbekistan Railways

His Excellency Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, met today in Balkh Province with the Director General of Uzbekistan Railways.

During the meeting, the Uzbek officials stated that they plan to construct a new railway line measuring one and a half kilometers at Naibabad Station, and also build several warehouses along the railway line for loading and unloading purposes.

The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs appreciated this initiative and instructed the officials of the Ministry of Public Works to jointly advance the technical and construction affairs in coordination with the Uzbek side.

With the construction of this railway line and the warehouses, the capacity of Hairatan Port will increase, and additional facilities and conveniences will also be provided for traders.
