Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs Meets with Afghan Consul General in Karachi, Pakistan

The Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, His Excellency Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, met with the Consul General of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Karachi, Pakistan, Mawlavi Abdul Jabbar Takhari.

At the outset of the meeting, Mawlavi Abdul Jabbar Takhari presented a comprehensive overview to the Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs regarding the Consulate’s ongoing activities, operations, and programs, as well as the current status of Afghan refugees residing in Pakistan.

He conveyed that the Afghan Consulate in Karachi continues to make every effort to address the challenges encountered by Afghan refugees in the host country.

The Consul General further stated that, in accordance with the directives of the leadership of the Islamic Emirate, the Consulate remains engaged across multiple sectors with the aim of enhancing bilateral relations between the two nations.

In response, the Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs underscored to the Consul General that Pakistan and Afghanistan, as two brotherly Muslim nations, enjoy deep-rooted cultural, historical, religious, and social ties. He noted that officials from both sides can draw upon these shared affinities to further develop cooperation in the economic, political, and cultural spheres.

The Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs reaffirmed the Islamic Emirate’s steadfast support for Afghan nationals residing in Pakistan and emphasized that the Consulate in Karachi should continue its dedicated efforts to address the needs and concerns of Afghan citizens and refugees in the host country.
