His Excellency Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, the Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, who had traveled to the city of Yunnan in the People's Republic of China at the official invitation to participate in the China-South Asia Cooperation Forum and International Exhibition, returned to the country this morning.
During this visit, the relevant officials of the People's Republic of China warmly welcomed the Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs and the accompanying delegation.
In addition to participating in the exhibition and the forum and delivering a speech, His Excellency Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi held separate meetings with senior Chinese officials, the Governor of Yunnan Province and other authorities, national leaders of the People's Republic of China, university professors, academic figures, and Chinese businessmen and investors.
During these meetings, the Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs elaborated on the achievements of the Islamic Emirate in various sectors, and both sides discussed and exchanged views on strengthening economic, commercial, health, educational, and academic cooperation between Afghanistan and China, and enhancing bilateral relations.
On the sidelines of the visit, His Excellency Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi and the accompanying delegation also visited the scientific and research centers of agricultural and pharmaceutical sciences in Yunnan Province, as well as the booths showcasing Afghan products and goods presented by Afghan entrepreneurs at the China-South Asia Exhibition.
