His Highness Amir-ul-Mu’minin, May Allah Protect Him, Addresses Officials of the Ministry of Education at a Three-Day Reformative Seminar

A three-day reformative seminar was held in Kandahar for the officials of the Ministry of Education, in which the Minister of Education and a number of other respected scholars also participated. His Highness Amir-ul-Mu’minin, may Allah the Almighty protect him, addressed the participants of the seminar and delivered important guidance and recommendations.
At the beginning of his speech, His Highness praised the services of all the officials. He spoke in detail about the value and necessity of knowledge, education, and moral training in the light of the Holy Qur’an and Hadith. He said that the sources of goodness in the world, which Allah Almighty has referred to as goodness, are the scholar, the student, and the one engaged in remembrance of Allah, as well as those who assist them. The knowledge that leads to recognition of Allah Almighty, the religion, and the Shariah has been praised in the Qur’an and Hadith. By means of knowledge and scholars, Allah Almighty removes corruption, immorality, and indecency from the earth and grants protection from His punishments.
His Highness Amir-ul-Mu’minin, may Allah protect him, stated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) imparted knowledge through his actions and conduct. Whatever he taught his Companions, he first demonstrated in practice and then instructed them to follow his example. In the same manner, the noble Companions educated others through their deeds, striving to reform people’s beliefs and morals and to cultivate upright habits.
His Highness further said that just as the Prophets (peace be upon them) guided people, so too must the scholars guide them in the same way. Scholars must adopt the piety, qualities, character, sincerity, patience, and steadfastness of the Prophets (peace be upon them), and display these in practice so that people may follow their example.
At the end of his speech, His Highness Amir-ul-Mu’minin, may Allah the Almighty protect him, gave important advice about avoiding negligence, saying that negligence is a very destructive disease. Both officials and non-officials must protect themselves from it.
He advised education officials and teachers to extend kindness and care toward their students, to monitor their progress closely, and to prevent them from engaging in frivolous distractions.
The seminar concluded with a heartfelt prayer led by His Highness, bringing the event to a solemn close.
