Official Participation and Address by the Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs at the Inauguration of the Fifth Phase of the Industrial Township and the Engineering Faculty Exhibi

Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, His Excellency Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, participated in and delivered an address at the inauguration ceremony of the fifth phase of the Industrial Township, the distribution of land ownership documents for the fourth phase, and the exhibition of the Faculty of Engineering at Herat University.

The ceremony, organized under the auspices of the Herat Chamber of Industries and Mines, was attended by the esteemed Governor of Herat, Sheikh Noor Ahmad Islam Jar, several officials of the Islamic Emirate, as well as a number of traders and investors from Herat. In his remarks, the Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs affirmed that the Islamic Emirate has consistently supported all traders, investors, and industrialists, and has facilitated the provision of necessary services for them. Measures such as tax exemptions and reductions on the activities of traders and investors serve as examples of this support.

His Excellency Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi added that the leadership of the Islamic Emirate remains committed to continuing efforts to ensure the availability of essential services for traders, investors, and industrialists in the future, enabling them to invest in diverse sectors with confidence. One such effort is the digitization of government institutions, a process initiated by the Islamic Emirate. Upon completion, this initiative will eliminate bureaucratic barriers across institutions and generate enhanced services for all.

Addressing the traders and industrialists, the Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs called on them to enhance the quality of domestic products in order to foster greater public trust in locally manufactured goods.

He further underscored the necessity of importing quality products, emphasizing that individuals who produce or import substandard goods will be subject to legal penalties.

His Excellency Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi also referred to the return of Afghan refugees from neighboring countries and appealed to national traders and financially capable individuals to extend assistance to returning citizens to the fullest extent possible.

Furthermore, the Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs delivered an address at the exhibition of the Faculty of Engineering at Herat University and commended the innovative work of the faculty’s students.

He remarked that such exhibitions provide an excellent platform for students to showcase their academic competencies and outputs, allowing them to witness the tangible results of their efforts and to draw further motivation.
