H.E. Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, met with national businessman and investor Mr. Mirwais Azizi at his office.
At the outset, the Deputy Prime Minister welcomed Mr. Mirwais Azizi, Chairman of Azizi Group, along with his technical team, and praised Azizi Energy Company’s $10 billion investment in the production of 10,000 megawatts of electricity in the country. The Deputy Prime Minister assured Mr. Azizi of the full cooperation and support of the Islamic Emirate, emphasizing that favorable conditions for investment are now in place. He added that, in accordance with the decree of the esteemed Amir al-Mu’minin (may Allah protect him), necessary facilities have been provided for investors and businessmen, and priority is being given to domestic products.
During the meeting, Mr. Azizi stated that after decades of war and hardship, a promising opportunity for national development has now emerged. He added that taking advantage of this opportunity, his company has initiated investment in the production of 10,000 megawatts of electricity, which will promote the growth of Afghanistan’s industrial and agricultural sectors and create numerous employment opportunities for the people.
Mr. Azizi expressed gratitude to the officials of the Islamic Emirate for their full cooperation in related areas and emphasized that in order to ensure the proper implementation of the investment and projects, he will maintain regular coordination and meetings with the relevant ministries.
Additionally, Mr. Azizi mentioned that he is prepared to soon begin the establishment of a fully standardized hospital in Kabul dedicated to the treatment of cancer patients.
