Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs Meets Secretary-General of the Muslim World League

His Excellency Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, met with Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (Rabita al-Alam al-Islami), who arrived in Kabul at the head of a high-level delegation.
The meeting was held at the Arg Palace during an official luncheon organized in honor of the visiting delegation, and was attended by the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Prime Minister, Dr. Mullah Abdul Wasi, as well as the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. On behalf of the Islamic Emirate, H.E. Mawlavi Hanafi welcomed Sheikh Dr. Al-Issa and his delegation, affirming that their visit and presence in Afghanistan constitute a source of pride and satisfaction for both the Islamic Emirate and the Afghan people.
The Deputy Prime Minister provided a comprehensive overview of the Islamic Emirate’s accomplishments across various sectors, including the establishment of nationwide security, the prevention of corruption, the dismantling of warlordism and disorder, the general amnesty declared by His Highness the Amir al-Mu’minin (may Allah protect him), the prohibition of narcotics cultivation, production, and trafficking, the care of orphans, the rehabilitation and treatment of drug addicts, and the execution of infrastructural and developmental initiatives.
He underscored the Islamic Emirate’s resolute stance against the use of Afghan territory to pose threats to others and reiterated its commitment to fostering friendly relations with all countries, particularly Islamic nations on the basis of mutual respect and non-interference in internal affairs.
The Deputy Prime Minister further addressed the issue of forced deportations of Afghan refugees by neighboring countries, highlighting the effective management of the crisis by the Islamic Emirate. He urged both domestic and international humanitarian organizations to meet their moral and humanitarian obligations in this regard with increased urgency.
He affirmed that the Islamic Emirate has eradicated the presence of insurgents and destabilizing elements, both by neutralizing their security threats and confronting their ideological deviations, thereby dismantling their networks.
In conclusion, he noted that the Muslim World League is a leading Islamic and international body committed to promoting fraternity and constructive cooperation among states and peoples. He urged the organization to stand with the Afghan people during these critical times.
Following this, Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, in his remarks, emphasized that the Muslim World League reflects the concerns and aspirations of Muslim nations and has succeeded in uniting scholars from diverse Islamic schools of thought under one platform.
He expressed his satisfaction with his visit to Afghanistan and meetings with the officials of the Islamic Emirate, stating that it is the responsibility of the Muslim World League to extend assistance and cooperation to fellow Muslims, affirming that the organization belongs to the Muslim Ummah and that the people of Afghanistan are an integral part of it.
The Secretary-General recalled that during the previous year’s Ramadan, representatives of the Islamic Emirate participated and spoke at a conference entitled "Building Bridges Between Islamic Schools of Thought."
Sheikh Dr. Al-Issa highlighted that the organization includes a high council and a global jurisprudential assembly, one of the oldest such institutions in Islamic history.
He concluded by affirming the Muslim World League’s commitment to maintaining its constructive relations with its brothers in the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, and offered prayers for divine blessings and success to the leadership of the Islamic Emirate.
