His Highness Amir al-Mu’minin (may Allah Almighty protect him) Attends and Delivers Speech at a Three-Day Reformative and Educational Seminar for Judicial Officials

The seminar, convened in Kandahar, brought together leading judicial and administrative authorities, including the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, deputy justices, the Deputy of the Military Court, the Acting Minister for the Propagation of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice, the Director General of Administrative Affairs, the President of the Academy of Sciences, and the Director General of Dar al-Ifta. Also in attendance were senior judges and heads of military, appellate, civil, district, and special courts.

His Highness Amir al-Mu’minin (may Allah Almighty protect him) delivered a comprehensive address, offering clear guidance and thoughtful counsel to the participants. He acknowledged and appreciated the valuable work of judicial officials and elaborated in detail on the wisdom, principles, and noble status of justice, drawing from the teachings of the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He underscored that the Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) personally handled judicial matters, issued verdicts in accordance with Shari’ah, and ensured the implementation of divine justice.

His Highness Amir al-Mu’minin (may Allah Almighty protect him) stated that the judiciary is a fundamental pillar of the Islamic system. Through the courts, the life, property, and dignity of the people are safeguarded. He explained that, as mentioned in various narrations, spending even an hour in the pursuit of justice can carry the spiritual reward of sixty to seventy years of worship. He remarked that justice is the driving force that eradicates disorder and corruption, safeguards equity, and forms the cornerstone of a stable Islamic system. Therefore, empowering the judiciary is essential to preserving and strengthening the broader framework of Islamic governance.

He further stated that without a functioning judiciary, oppressors would act without restraint, the voices of the oppressed would go unheard, and corruption, discord, and immorality would spread throughout society.

His Highness Amir al-Mu’minin (may Allah Almighty protect him) stated that Allah has appointed judges on earth to guide and reform the moral and practical conduct of society. A judge who rules with justice is beloved to Allah, and in the Hereafter, such judges will be rewarded with Paradise. In an Islamic system, the judge serves as the representative of the Imam, appointed with a mandate and guiding principles from the Imam. His Highness emphasized that judges bear a great responsibility in the Islamic system—to strengthen public trust through fair rulings and to ensure the protection of people's rights.

He stated that it is a great blessing from Allah Almighty that the path has been opened for the implementation of the Islamic and Shari’ah system. In today’s time, upholding religion, Islam, and Shari’ah requires patience, perseverance, and steadfastness. The honorable scholars and judges, he added, have demonstrated the practical application of Islam and Shari’ah to the people and to the world.

He added that the judiciary plays a vital role in fulfilling the objectives of Jihad, as the courts revive religion and Shari’ah, promote Islamic beliefs, implement Shari’ah rulings, and uphold Islamic ethics. He emphasized that the entire system stands in full support of the judiciary in carrying out these responsibilities.

At the conclusion of his address, His Highness Amir al-Mu’minin (may Allah Almighty protect him) offered important guidance on piety, humility, modesty, and justice among the people. He advised that in all judicial matters, the sole objective should be seeking the pleasure of Allah Almighty. He urged judges to become a means of guidance for the people through fair and just rulings, emphasizing that when a judge stands firmly on the principles of justice, Allah grants him divine support.

His Highness encouraged judges to document and publish their resolved cases and personal experiences so that future judges may benefit from their knowledge. He also advised engaging with senior scholars and experienced judges, learning from their wisdom, and focusing on the training and development of the new generation of scholars in the field of judiciary.

He emphasized the importance of mutual reminders and discussions among judges, paying special attention to prisoners, ensuring that no detainee remains in legal uncertainty, and upholding complete equality between the claimant and the defendant. He warned against favoritism in rulings and stressed the need for full cooperation with all relevant institutions.

The seminar then concluded with a closing supplication led by His Highness Amir al-Mu’minin (may Allah Almighty protect him).
