The regular session of the National Procurement Commission, chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, convened at Marmarin Palace.
In line with the agenda, 28 projects were submitted to the Commission for consideration. Following deliberation, 19 projects were amended, six projects with a total value of AFN 828 million were approved, and one project contract was annulled.
Furthermore, a designated committee was assigned to re-evaluate the procurement process of one project, while for another project, the responsible committee was directed to engage in negotiations with the winning company concerning project costs and to present their findings to the leadership of the Commission.
The amended and approved projects encompass the construction of internal roads within Kabul city and the completion of outstanding works related to electricity supply and distribution across several provinces. The approved projects are financed by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
