H.E. Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, met with Haji Mohammad Ibrahim Mohib, President of Afghanistan International Bank (AIB) and one of the country’s prominent national businessmen.
Mr. Mohib presented a comprehensive overview of Afghanistan’s economic, trade, and investment environment, as well as the activities of Afghanistan International Bank. He further announced initiatives to establish a specialized cardiac and oncology hospital in Mazar-e-Sharif, inaugurate a new hospital in Kabul, and provide a $100,000 contribution to support returnees.
In response, H.E. Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi highlighted trade and investment as key drivers for the country’s development and prosperity, affirming the Islamic Emirate’s full support for all forms of domestic and foreign investment across all sectors.
Concerning the planned hospitals, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that healthcare is a critical and fundamental necessity for the people, and called for active involvement from both the Islamic Emirate and the private sector in this field.
H.E. Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi conveyed his gratitude for the support businessmen and investors have extended to returnees. In light of the unprecedented surge of returnees from neighboring countries, he urged all those able to offer assistance to do so in support of their fellow citizens.
