His Excellency Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, visited the returnee camps located near Pul-e-Abresham (Silk Bridge) in Nimroz Province.
He was accompanied by the Acting Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Mawlavi Hamdullah Nomani, and the Governor of Nimroz, Sheikh Mohammad Qasim Khalid.
The purpose of the visit was to assess the conditions of the returnees and to evaluate the functioning of the relevant service committees.
During the visit, the Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs listened to the concerns raised by the returnees and assured them that the Islamic Emirate would facilitate both immediate and long-term settlement solutions, while striving to address their existing challenges to the fullest extent possible.
The Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs and his accompanying delegation reviewed the services currently being delivered to the returnees by the service committees and issued necessary directives to enhance service provision and streamline the returnee management process.
His Excellency Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi also inaugurated the construction of a new camp for returnees in Nimroz Province, with a project cost of 16 million Afghanis. This initiative is expected to contribute to resolving the ongoing challenges faced by both the returnees and the service committees.
