His Highness, Amir al-Mu'minin (may ALLAH protect him), honored the event and addressed a one-day seminar, arranged for the officials of intelligence.
His Highness, Amir al-Mu'minin (may ALLAH protect him), participated in an integrated one-day training and reformative seminar for the staff of the General Directorate of Intelligence. It was also attended by the Deputy of Operations of the General Directorate of Intelligence and department heads affiliated with the Directorate.
The seminar started with recitation of the Holy Qur'an. His Highness, Amir al-Mu'minin (may ALLAH protect him), presented a relevant address to the audience of the seminar, emphasizing the importance, value, and gravity of intelligence for an administration under Sharia law. He identified intelligence as the backbone of governance.
His Highness, the Amir al-Mu'minin (may ALLAH protect him), ordered that since the Sharia-based system came into being through jihad and sacrifice, it is the responsibility of the intelligence agency of the Islamic Emirate to foil every evident and hidden ideological and destructive conspiracy devised by enemies of the Sharia-based system.
He also said that intelligence agencies must not let any individual openly or covertly insult or discredit Islamic and religious values. Along with other institutions, intelligence must collaborate to implement Sharia and raise public awareness accordingly.
At the conclusion of his address, His Highness, the Amir al-Mu'minin (may ALLAH protect him), instructed intelligence officers to be kind in their treatment of people, treat the public with respect, refrain from detaining individuals on suspicion, refrain from doing anything in the nature of oppression against detainees, maintain confidentiality, and be firm in enforcing Sharia law.
Subsequently, the seminar concluded on a supplication (du'a) by His Highness the Amir al-Mu'minin (may ALLAH protect him) requesting Allah’s blessings for the Sharia-based system and people.
