Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs Meets with the Governor of Helmand

His Excellency Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, convened with Mawlavi Abdul Rahman Muslim Kundozi, Governor of Helmand.

At the outset of the meeting, Governor Mawlavi Abdul Rahman Muslim Kundozi presented an overview of the province’s general condition and administrative operations. He affirmed that the Mujahideen and local authorities in Helmand remain consistently engaged in public service and in resolving the population’s difficulties without disruption.

The governor also underscored ongoing measures to respond to the challenges posed by the influx of deportees returning from Pakistan via Helmand. He noted that provincial officials are mobilizing all available capacities to offer services and shelter, operating on a continuous basis to meet the needs of the returnees.

His Excellency Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, in commendation of the efforts and performance of Helmand’s local officials, stated that attending to citizens’ hardships and ensuring their welfare constitutes a core responsibility of the Islamic Emirate. He urged local authorities to intensify their efforts accordingly.

He further asserted that the provision of services to forcibly repatriated individuals from neighboring states is both a religious obligation and a humanitarian imperative incumbent upon all officials and citizens. The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, he emphasized, is deploying all accessible resources to furnish returnees with shelter, transport, and essential services.
