Deputy Prime Minister at Farewell ceremony for the First Afghan Pilgrim Group

H.E. Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, attended and delivered a speech at the farewell ceremony held yesterday for the first group of Afghan pilgrims departing for the Kaaba.

The farewell ceremony, organized by the Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs at Kabul International Airport, was attended by Sheikh Dr. Noor Mohammad Saqib, Acting Minister of Hajj and Religious Affairs, along with several cabinet members and senior officials of the Islamic Emirate.

In his address, H.E. Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi expressed his appreciation to the National Hajj Committee, the Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs, the Ministry of Public Health, airport authorities, security forces, airline companies, and all other relevant institutions. He commended their joint efforts in organizing and facilitating the pilgrimage, including travel arrangements, healthcare services, accommodation, meals, and the assignment of instructors to educate pilgrims on the proper performance of Hajj rituals.

H.E. Hanafi expressed hope that the relevant institutions would deliver improved services and facilities to the pilgrims, surpassing the standards of previous years.

He emphasized that Afghan pilgrims, during this sacred journey, serve as ambassadors and representatives of the Afghan nation. He urged them to demonstrate good character, exercise patience and tolerance, and respect the laws and customs of the host country.

In conclusion, H.E. Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi wished the pilgrims a successful Hajj and prayed for its acceptance. He encouraged them to pray at the Holy Kaaba for the strength of the Islamic system and the success of the Islamic Emirate in serving the Afghan people.
