Chief of Staff of the Office of the Prime Minister Launches One-Year Achievements Program

Dr. Mullah Abdul Wasi, Chief of Staff of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, participated and delivered a speech this morning at the opening ceremony of the program outlining the one-year achievements of Emirate institutions.

The event, hosted at the Government Information and Media Center with the participation of senior officials, was inaugurated by Dr. Mullah Abdul Wasi, Chief of Staff of the Office of the Prime Minister. He emphasized that the initiative is designed to ensure transparency by enabling approximately 44 Emirate institutions to present their annual performance reports and engage directly with the media.

Dr. Mullah Abdul Wasi underscored the crucial role of the media in connecting the government with the public, emphasizing continuous efforts to enhance the availability of reliable information. He urged officials to engage sincerely in the process and called on the media to reflect the truth so the world can see the real image of Afghanistan.

He noted that upon taking power four years ago, the Islamic Emirate inherited a country burdened by deep economic, security, social, and moral challenges. Despite these obstacles, he highlighted that meaningful reforms and progress have been made through strong leadership, divine guidance, and the dedicated efforts of officials.

He emphasized that the historic general amnesty decree issued by His Highness Amir al-Mu'minin (may Allah protect him) was a landmark decision that promoted national unity and strengthened bonds of brotherhood. He further noted that significant institutional reforms were carried out, overlapping bodies were dissolved, transparency was enhanced, and the Islamic Emirate successfully funded salaries and development initiatives through internal resources.

He stated that the Islamic Emirate maintains diplomatic, economic, and trade relations with over forty countries, with its delegations regularly attending major international conferences and forums. A key milestone from these engagements is the recent recognition of the Islamic Emirate by the Russian Federation, and it is anticipated that other nations will soon extend similar recognition.

At the end of his speech, Dr. Mullah Abdul Wasi spoke about the forced deportation of Afghan refugees from Pakistan and Iran. He highlighted that the High Commission for Refugee Affairs, led by Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs, has carried out on-site evaluations to oversee the return process. He added that directives were issued to the relevant committees and officials to ensure proper arrangements for reception, registration, transportation, temporary housing, food, clean water, and healthcare services.

The National Examination Authority is scheduled to present its one-year achievements and performance to the people of Afghanistan in the presence of the media today, while other Emirate departments will do the same in the coming days.
